We are The Source Functional Nutrition, Dani and Kevin Arnold. We started our health and wellness journey over six years ago when Kevin was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). We were so fortunate to stumble across a video of Dr. Terry Wahls sharing her MS recovery story and how she went from a wheelchair to riding her bike 20+ miles in one year. We discovered the nourishing and healing capacity in the world of functional medicine and nutrition and never looked back.
Fast forward over five years and Kevin has been symptom-free. We both knew that we needed to go back to school to dive deeper into the world of functional medicine and nutrition. After our healing journey, we feel so blessed to have discovered this path that we now feel this is our path in life to share with others helping them on their path to optimal health and wellness.
Dani received her Master’s in Human Clinical Nutrition and Integrative Health from Maryland University for Integrative Health. She is a Certified Nutritionist specializing in medical nutrition therapy. She is an LDN and a member of the ANA and BCNS.
Kevin is a Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach as well as a Certified Functional Medicine Health Coach, a Certified Wahls Health Practitioner, and a RYT-200 Certified Yoga Teacher.
Functional Nutrition is a patient-centered healthcare practice that attempts to get to the Source or the root cause of illness, disease, and imbalance in the body.
Here at the Source, we take a holistic and systems approach to healthcare, as we consider how interconnected every part of the body is. We aim to prevent or resolve dis-ease by emphasizing diet and lifestyle changes. Functional Nutrition isn’t just about nourishing food; it is also about nourishing thoughts, relationships, environment, and practices that support your unique aspects! We meet you where you are on your journey and collaborate on a best-suited wellness plan for your life. A personalized prescription for optimal health involves balancing the mind, body, spirit, and social environment to make for a resilient and well-nourished individual.
